Jesus, thank you for my daughter's laughter:)  Thank you for all of those simple joys you allow me on a daily bases. Amen

Sir 5:1-8
Rely not on your wealth;
say not: “I have the power.”
Rely not on your strength
in following the desires of your heart.
Say not: “Who can prevail against me?”
or, “Who will subdue me for my deeds?”
for God will surely exact the punishment.
Say not: “I have sinned, yet what has befallen me?”
for the Most High bides his time.
Of forgiveness be not overconfident,
adding sin upon sin.
Say not: “Great is his mercy;
my many sins he will forgive.”
For mercy and anger alike are with him;
upon the wicked alights his wrath.
Delay not your conversion to the LORD,
put it not off from day to day.
For suddenly his wrath flames forth;
at the time of vengeance you will be destroyed.
Rely not upon deceitful wrath,
for it will be no help on the day of wrath.

I invite you to read the entire scripture readings for today USCCB

Let's not rest on past laurels, what are we doing today to love our God?  Maybe it is simply recognizing how much he loves us.

My oldest daughter is almost three and yesterday out of the blue, she said, "Mom, your doing a great Job, your a great Mom."  My heart was beating out of my chest!!  I couldn't believe it.  She didn't ask for anything, I hadn't given her anything, we were, all four of us, having a nice time hanging out.  I've been attempting lately to be more present with my children, and they feel it!!!

Let's be aware that Jesus is Present to us, every hour of every day, He cares.  Feel it, be aware of it...constantly turn towards him, know that he is with you.  Be Present to God.  If we do this , we don't need to worry about wealth or power, God will use us as he needs us, because we are constantly asking God what we can do for Him, He will give us what we need to serve.

Jesus, thank you for always being here for me.  Help me be present to my children as you are present to me. Amen
